Dianne L. Higgins MD MPH
Dr. Higgins has been continually board certified since 1987, and has been an FAA designated Aviation Medical Examiner since 1998. She has 25 years of performing flight physicals for all classes of pilots.
She completed medical school at the University of Texas, San Antonio and residency at Stanford University in Family Medicine. With a love of both the practice and teaching of medicine, Dr. Higgins has served as a professor at Stanford University Medical School and at the University of Nevada, Reno and has been in private practice for over 30 years.
The office at Mill Street offers a broad spectrum of services, in addition to primary care, and patients greatly appreciate her combination of diagnostic acumen and straightforward language.
On her practice philosophy, Dr. Higgins says that "to understand a patient takes time and thoughtfulness. I ensure my patients never feel rushed in my office. " Dr. Higgins and her husband have twin daughters and a son, and 5 grandchildren.

Destinee comes from humble beginnings in the healthcare field, working as a waitress in a retirement community, which instilled in her a deep appreciation for compassionate care.
Transitioning to the role of an Office Lab Assistant with Mill Street Medical, she delved into laboratory operations while pursuing her phlebotomy license. She is dedicated and meticulous, committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Destinee aspires to progress into Mental Health Nursing, utilizing her empathetic nature and passion for precision to make a tangible difference in the lives of those she serves. With unwavering commitment, she is eager to lend her hands, heart, and expertise to ensure success and well-being in her community.
Benjamin Higgins
Bejamin is a invaluable help to Mill Street Medical! From filing to answering phone calls, he helps the office running smoothly and ensures timely and professional patient care.
Ben is an accomplished trumpet player and has performed with the Carson City Symphony and the Carson Community Band. Additionally, he has a talent for skiing, pen and ink drawings, and ceramics. His favorite “off day” activity is walking—and whale watching when he gets the chance!
Ben is the proud uncle of two nieces and three nephews whom he adores.
